AMS Solutions via a Hosted Service
Kallik provide some of the AMS solutions via our Application Hosting Service. This means that
you have nothing to install, maintain or update with operating costs fully
transparent there are no hidden surprises.
AMS-Artwork Approval
Manager (AMS-AAM) and AMS-Project Warehouse (AMS-PW) can be
provided via this deployment method.
WHY ASP?
AMS Deployment
AMS is a fully
hosted solution so there are no costly set up fees for hardware
and no ongoing requirements for looking after the application.
All back ups, maintenance and upgrades are provided as part of
the service.
ASP Service
Kallik provides
access to the applications via our hosting partner’s network and
servers. This is known as ASP or Application Hosting Service.
There are many advantages to this delivery method, not least the
short time it takes to get you up and running.
Low entry cost
The ASP approach
does not demand provision of up-front capital for
infrastructure, software, or services. ASP simply requires that
Application Service rentals be paid after the system has gone
live. This alternative model transfers the business decision
from a capital expenditure, to an operational expenditure
decision.
Low total cost
of ownership
Comparing the
traditional cost of owning an advanced software solution over
full the life cycle, to the cost of renting that same solution
via the ASP model, significant savings can be achieved by the
client.
Access to best
of breed solutions
Since the ASP
model removes high-cost entry barriers and still offers a more
favourable total cost of ownership, many small to medium
enterprises previously excluded from high pedigree solutions can
now justify adopting them.
Rapid
Deployment
New applications
can be deployed in weeks, rather than months or years and
upgraded overnight.
Independent of
IT staffing issues
In this era,
where IT skills are hard to attract and retain, the ASP model
removes your organisations dependency on IT skills, particularly
high end skills. The cost of recruiting, retaining and managing
these skills is removed from your organisation and transferred
to a technology organisation that focuses on these challenges as
a natural part of our business.
Removal of
non-core IT activities
The
implementation and on-going management of solutions is a
significant draw on an organisation’s resources and not
necessarily a core activity.
The ASP model removes the need for organisations to allocate
scarce resources to such non core activities and for the
business solution to be managed by an organization that is
focused on providing sustainable and value-adding business
solutions.
