Company History

Kallik was established in 2001. Our flagship labelling content management and automated artwork generation platform was devised based on the founders’ in-depth experience in this field, and today underpins the businesses of companies including; Acelity, BSN medical, Cardinal Health, Coloplast, Diversey, ExxonMobil, Integra, Mary Kay, NBTY, Nikwax, Teleflex and Unilever.

Neil Gleghorn - Chief Executive Officer
nail-gleghornNeil Gleghorn is a successful pioneer, entrepreneur and thought leader. As CEO of Kallik he sits on the main board. He also chairs the strategic product development committee, continuing a journey that began 20 years ago when Neil saw that capturing and managing labelling-based content digitally could transform the way companies bring products to market.

Neil has grown Kallik at an impressive rate over the last 12+ years, ensuring that the company attracts great employees and that its technology solutions stay ahead of the challenges facing Kallik’s customers.

Neil has spent his entire career creating businesses in the printing, design and related software industry. Two decades ago he founded The Box Room – now one of the UK’s most successful design origination companies and the pre-cursor to Kallik, which he established as a spin-off company in 2001.

This extensive background in the industry has given Neil deep, first-hand experience of the complex collaborations involved as diverse teams work together to create accurate artwork and labelling.

Neil attends many of Kallik’s sponsored conferences and exhibitions and is a highly-regarded speaker on pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetics industry related issues and developments.

In August 2014, Neil was honoured by being included on the PharmaVOICE 100, an annual list of life science professionals who have been nominated by their friends and colleagues for their outstanding contributions to the industry.

Carole Gleghorn - Chief Financial Officer
carole gleghornCarole co-manages Kallik, is a private investor in the company, and runs the business on a day-to-day basis, overseeing all of its finances and proactively engaging with clients.

Following many years at a design agency, then managing a design and repro company, Carole became involved in the start-up of The Box Room, a company she ran for six years before Kallik was created as a separate entity in 2001. During that time, she fulfilled a series of key roles in the business in addition to being at its helm.

Ashley Goldie - Sales & Marketing Director
ashley goldieAshley joined Kallik in early 2010, bringing almost three decades of labelling and packaging experience to the role of sales and marketing director. This was gained with major brands ranging from Boots the Chemist, Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Unilever, to Imperial Tobacco. His experience, which has a consistently technical bias, spans all aspects of commercial print, packaging, pre-press origination and marketing services.

In common with the CEO and operations director, Ashley started out in the artwork studio of a printer. His experience spans the whole of the print, pre-press, artwork creation and creative process, and he has spent some 12 years now focused specifically on the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

Ashley specialises in turning vision into reality. Promoting the company’s vision comes easily to him because, in his own words, he has never seen a solution to match it.

Dave Tarbuck - Consulting Services Director
dave tarbuckDave learnt his trade via a traditional pre-press apprenticeship, rapidly developing a strong understanding of all of the skills involved in artwork creation, pre-press and print.

Dave joined The Box Room as a system operator, soon becoming operations manager before moving into a series of client-facing roles. These saw him managing high-profile accounts including Kraft and GlaxoSmithKline. He has worked at global artwork and pre-press company SGS.

Involved with Kallik from the earliest days, Dave brings a vast amount of technical knowledge to the role of operations director. During his time as an account director, he gained a first-hand understanding of clients’ priorities and challenges which he proactively feeds into Kallik’s development strategy.

Dave has a strong track record in managing complex projects and delivering new technologies.
