Get to Know the Expert: Jattinder Singh (JT) on AI, Automation, and Labeling Transformation

At Kallik, our innovation is driven by the people behind our technology. Our experts work closely with global enterprises to solve complex labeling and artwork challenges and help them modernize their operations.

One of those experts is Jattinder Singh (JT). With over a decade of experience in automation, AI, and enterprise SaaS, JT works with some of the world’s largest organizations to transform how they manage labeling and artwork.

We spoke with JT about the trends shaping labeling and artwork management, the advice he gives to organizations looking to improve their processes, and most importantly, his dream dinner guests – which are the most unlikely combination!

From Automation to Enterprise Labeling

JT’s career began in the world of automation and intelligent technology. Over the past 14 years, he has worked with organizations looking to improve operations through automation, with the last four years focused specifically on AI-driven solutions.

When asked what drew him into the labeling and artwork space, JT points to one thing: customer impact. “The impact SaaS solutions make to customers’ outcomes, businesses, people and reputation is immense. Starting my career in RPA and automation and more recently AI sales, I’ve seen how the right technology can fundamentally change how organizations operate.”

Joining Kallik allowed JT to take that experience into new industries and larger enterprise environments. “Kallik allowed me to elevate my customer profile from enterprise clients in financial services and utilities into large enterprise organizations in medical, pharma, and oil. Understanding their markets, needs, and outputs constantly challenges me and ensures their priorities remain front and center when we look at labeling and artwork management product roadmaps.”

Key Trends Shaping the Labeling and Artwork Industry

When looking at the future of labeling and artwork management, JT sees two major forces driving change: automation and AI.

Organizations are under increasing pressure to move faster, reduce operational costs, and maintain compliance across global markets. Automation plays a central role in achieving those goals.

“Continuous improvement is critical. No other brand globally delivers the entire end-to-end journey from design and amendments through to global compliance and print.”

JT explains that this unified approach is where Kallik creates real value for customers.By managing the full lifecycle of labeling and artwork within Veraciti™, organizations gain a complete operational view while reducing inefficiencies across their supply chain.

“Having everything under one platform creates huge economies of scale. Demand on design agencies is reduced, operational costs drop, speed to market increases, and cost of goods can be reduced significantly.”

What Makes Kallik Different

Many companies still manage labeling and artwork processes using multiple disconnected tools and vendors. According to JT, this fragmented approach creates unnecessary complexity.
“There isn’t another platform that delivers the entire end-to-end journey like Kallik. To replicate the same capability elsewhere, you would typically need around three different vendors in the supply chain.” This often leads to integration challenges, duplicated work, and additional vendor management.

“With multiple vendors, you have to manage how they connect, how data exchanges between them, and several contracts. By adopting a single platform, you change your business process completely, but the results provide full visibility across your operation and significant operational savings.”

JT emphasizes that the technology itself is only part of the equation. “The technology is the enabler. The real impact comes from the shift in business processes that allows organizations to unlock the full value of a unified platform.”

Advice for Organizations Looking to Improve Their Processes

For companies beginning their labeling and artwork transformation journey, JT believes the first step is understanding what really matters operationally. “Look at what matters and be prepared to change your business process. Technology alone doesn’t solve the problem. It has to be supported by the right operational model.”

He also encourages organizations to fully leverage the expertise of their technology partners. “Use the consultants in your vendor’s team as an extension of your business. Walk the floor with them, question why processes exist, and challenge assumptions.”

This external perspective often reveals opportunities organizations cannot see internally. “You only truly know what you know. Lean on subject matter experts to understand how other companies are solving similar challenges, the changes they had to adopt, and the ROI they achieved.”

For large global enterprises, JT says the focus usually centers on a few critical objectives:

  • Leaner operating models
  • Reduced operational costs
  • Faster speed to market
  • Lower cost of goods (COGS)

“These factors ultimately drive EBITDA, which is critical for global enterprise brands. When working with organizations at that scale, it’s essential to align with their top-down KPIs and ensure cross-departmental buy-in.”

Words to Work By

JT approaches both business and life with a simple guiding principle. “Listen three times more than you talk. Remove assumptions and only work with facts. Requalify at every single engagement and never stop being curious.” For JT, curiosity and continuous learning are essential traits when working with complex global organizations.

Dinner With Three Very Different Guests

Finally, we asked JT a more lighthearted question: if he could have dinner with any celebrity or historical figure, who would it be?

His answer included an eclectic mix. “If I could go back in time, it would be Ghostface Killah from Wu-Tang just to hear the freestyles that come out after Courvoisier number five. Mike Skinner from The Streets would also be great for some real, salt-of-the-earth conversation.”

And then a very different choice. “Martin Lewis. I’m a big fan. Or Brian Cox, because nobody explains complex ideas in simple terms quite like he does.”
