Kallik 2026 R2 Release: Built for Greater Availability, Accessibility, and Project Brief Performance
For regulated organizations, labeling and artwork workflows cannot afford to slow down. The Veraciti™ 2026 R2 release is designed to help customers keep critical work moving, with enhanced platform resilience, improved Project Brief scalability, new accessibility improvements, and more intuitive briefing tools that support clearer collaboration from the start.
Building on the resilience foundations introduced in R1, the 2026 R2 release continues Kallik’s investment in a stronger, more scalable, and more accessible Veraciti™ platform. The latest release introduces continuous health monitoring and automated failover for Project Brief, improved load balancing, Pre-Brief Redlining, WCAG accessibility compliance improvements, Secure Self-Service Password Setup, and further enhancements to approval workflows.
Together, these updates help customers work with greater confidence across high-volume, compliance-driven labeling and artwork operations.
Strengthening Availability for Project Brief workflows
One of the most significant enhancements in Veraciti™ 2026 R2 is the extension of continuous health monitoring and automated failover to the Project Brief module.
Following the resiliency improvements delivered in R1, Veraciti™ now applies the same automated monitoring approach to Project Brief that was previously introduced for Factory Print. This means the platform can continuously monitor the health of the module and, in the event of an infrastructure-level disruption, automatically route traffic to a parallel standby environment.
For customers operating in regulated industries, where Project Brief workflows often sit at the heart of labeling and artwork creation, this provides an important additional layer of assurance. It helps teams maintain access to the processes they rely on to brief, review, and progress critical artwork work.
Improved Scalability to Support Growing Teams
The 2026 R2 release also introduces improved scalability and load balancing for Project Brief.
The module is now capable of handling double its previous workload, supporting higher volumes of concurrent users by distributing demand across multiple application servers. This helps deliver smoother performance during peak usage periods and gives organizations more capacity as adoption increases across teams, regions, and business units.
For enterprise customers managing complex labeling and artwork portfolios, this is a major step forward. It supports both day-to-day performance and long-term operational growth.
Faster, Lower-Disruption Release Deployment
The platform resilience work introduced in R1 is also helping reduce expected downtime for the R2 go-live.
Rather than following a traditional installation window, the release can switch from the current active platform to the standby environment. This gives the software release the capability to switch within minutes. While some minor updates will still be applied as part of the R2 enhancements, the total expected downtime for this release is no more than fifteen minutes.
This supports Kallik’s wider commitment to high availability, operational continuity, and reduced disruption for customers managing business-critical labeling and artwork processes.
More Intuitive Briefing with Pre-Brief Redlining
Veraciti™ 2026 R2 also introduces Pre-Brief Redlining, a frequently requested capability that allows users to mark up a PDF directly for use with the Project Brief when briefing an operator.
This gives teams a clearer and more visual way to communicate design intent at the earliest stage of the process. Instead of relying solely on written instructions, or uploading a marked up external asset users can highlight, annotate, and clarify requirements directly on the PDF, including existing assets stored within Veraciti. For teams managing complex artwork changes, this can help reduce ambiguity, improve handovers, and support smoother briefing between stakeholders.
Improving Accessibility Across Veraciti™
The R2 release also includes work toward Web Content Accessibility Guidelines compliance, helping ensure Veraciti™ works more effectively for all users, including those with disabilities.
Accessibility is an important part of building enterprise software that supports global, diverse, and distributed teams. By improving platform accessibility, Kallik is helping customers create a more inclusive user experience while supporting broader usability across the system.
Secure Self-Service Password Setup
To simplify onboarding and improve security, Veraciti™ 2026 R2 introduces Secure Self-Service Password Setup. New users can now securely set their own password through a one-time link sent directly to their email address. This helps streamline the onboarding process while maintaining a secure, controlled setup experience for users and administrators.
Continued Improvements to Approval Workflows
Following the approval workflow enhancements delivered last year, R2 also introduces further improvements in this area of the system. These updates continue Kallik’s focus on giving customers more practical control over artwork and labeling workflows, while maintaining the governance, traceability, and auditability required in regulated environments.
Building Toward A Modern, Scalable Veraciti™ Platform
The R2 release is part of a wider Platform Modernization Program designed to progressively rebuild Veraciti™ on a current, cloud-native technology stack.
This multi-release program supports Kallik’s long-term investment in platform resilience, security, performance, and future capability delivery. The next module scheduled for refresh under this program is Phrase Manager, planned for R3 2026, with future updates expected to support faster response times, modern security standards, zero-downtime upgrades, and a stronger foundation for AI-assisted capabilities.
